I didn't. It came this way. I've never bought a car without a cracked windshield. It's on the list of things to be replaced...

Yeah... I'm not really sure what the most dangerous part of the car is right now. So they're all just sort of on the list... I put priority to the fuel system, generally.

That thing where you take your car to a garage periodically and a mechanic looks at it and decides if it's road-worthy? I don't know about everywhere else but in my state a cracked windshield is an automatic failure.

What state are you in? Some states, like Florida require the insurance to replace the windshield for FREE (no deductable or anything)
